This tune, passed down through the family, is one where Melvin and his father used the novelty technique of having two fiddlers playing together on one fiddle. One fiddler would hold the fiddle and finger the notes while the other would bow. In one of Melvin’s classes at Davis and Elkins College he demonstrated this with Brad Leftwich while playing this tune. (Beisswenger)
